Banū Makhzūm (Arabic: بنو مخزو translit. Banu Makhzoom) was a wealthy clan of the Quraysh and was regarded as one of the three most powerful an influential along side Banu Hashim and Banu Umayyah. It was also the tribe responsible for military matters such as breeding and training horses, prepareing and providing provisions for expeditions as well os officers to lead the Quraysh into battle[1].
