Quraysh caravans would travel to Yemen in the winter and to As-Shams (Syria) in the summer.
During their summer expeditions the Quraysh Caravans would visit the great trading cities of the Syrian province of Rome. Trading with Christian Arabs of the Ghassan, Persians from Ctesiphon, Copts from Egypt, and the Romans of the Byzantine Empire.[1]
