Aishah (Arabic: عائشة بنت أبي بكر or عائشة, transliteration: ‘Ā’ishah [ʕaːʔɪʃa], also transcribed as Ā’ishah bint Abī Bakr, A’ishah, Aisyah, Ayesha, A’isha, Aishat, Aishah, or Aisha) was the third wife of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) after Khadijah, and Sawdah. Daughter of Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq and Umm Ruman, Aisha grew to become one of the greatest scholars of Islam.
